E-N-D, a series of three solos. A dance installation, built like a triptychon. The room for the visual performance is reduced to a minimum in which we experiment with the developing possibilities. In each of the three scenes soundinstallation, visual art and movement are cooperating as equal interactive partners. The live-sound by ILIEL/sr will provide a new way of interaction. Each picture contains traces and fragments of the two others. Imperceptible the contours of the single characters are fading and so mutate and merge into other figures.

The project started in spring 2000. The premiere of E-N-D took place at the EXPO in Hannover. E-N-D as the first phase of the long term project MOVING GALLERY presents the movement research emenating from the occupation with limited space and on the other hand an experiment with a new age of interacting with electronic sound and visual arts. The ongoing steps connected the project gradually with other media and it was transfered to a moveable unit.
One could say E-N-D was a theatre version of the for the next planned project MOVING GALLERY.
This project is coproduced by TANZtheater International / EXPO2000 Hannover. Supported by the City of Vienna and the Austrian Federal Chancellory for the Arts.

"Esthetically more daring of course was the world premiere of "E-N-D", which shows three breathtaking soli to hard techno beats. A consequent and thrilling work!" Andreas Berger, Braunschweiger Zeitung

"E-N-D is the most recent work by the award winning contemporary dance company PILOTTANZT. E-N-D turns worlds upside down. Fragments of each solo are reflected in the next, resulting in powerful, uncompromising whole. …The dancers work in a minimum of space to create a maximum of tension and intensity. …Multiple layers of music, artwork, lighting and video animation are brought together to form a complex and thrilling audiovisual experience." Austria Today, Heather Whitehall

" ... they are convincing in their choreographic structure and fine dance - clear simple, grapping."
Edith M. Wolf Perez in Austrian monthly dance journal tanz affiche

" An unspeculative quality, seldom to be found."
