kay hupka

1966 born in Königs Wusterhausen / Germany. Training as electrical and lighting engineer, light design (1989). Since 1995 master of lighting and 1998 he graduated his studies of light design at the Academy of Theatre August Everding (post-graduate course)
From 1999-2002 he was technical and light design director at the Kunsthaus Tacheles in Berlin. Freelance work since 2002. Worked on and collaborated with among others: Ten Pen Chii (Bröllin/ Dance), ORPH THEATER (Berlin/ Theatre), Pilottanzt (Wien / Dance), Alex B. (Berlin/ Dance), Be van Vark (Berlin/ Dance), Helge Musial (Berlin/ Dance), Patravadi (Bangkok/ Theatre), Japan now – Festival (Germany) und Fusion- Festival (Germany).
